hello

I am Christodoulos Sotiriou.

I'm an Electronics Engineer working at Mercedes High Performance Powertrains, in a team designing the next generation ERS system for the Mercedes F1 Power Unit. I studied Electronics and Computer Engineering at the University of Nottingham, graduating in 2023.

I found my passion all the way back in 2015, when I competed in my first robotics competition. That started a chain of events that helped me, one after the other, develop my skills and love for electronics and programming. After an incredible few years of being part of the University of Nottingham Racing Team and participating in the Formula Student competition, I developed an appreciation for the engineering that goes into a racing car, which pushed me to pursue a career in Formula 1.

Additionally, in 2018, I joined the Cyprus team representing my country in the European Cybersecurity Challenge (ECSC). Since then, I have taken part in numerous cybersecurity competitions, both individual and with my team, CYberMouflons, and won multiple prizes throughout the years. In 2022 and 2023, I was also part of Team Europe, participating in the International Cybersecurity Challenge (ICC), where we managed to secure 1st place amongst teams from all corners of the world.

The intersection between Electronics, Programming and Cybersecurity really interests me. I enjoy finding novel ways to combine these skills to be able to work better, faster and more efficiently.
